Tomorrow I am walking the 2010 Manulife Walk for Memories with my father Curtis Reid (Bubba) who lives with Alzheimer’s disease and my family who I am very proud of. So far we’ve raised $2,285.50 and pledges are still coming in.
Did you know that 1 in 13 Canadians above 65 is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia?
Including offline donations, Team Hubba Bubba have raised over $1500 to date for Alheimers Society. Did you know that 1 in 13 Canadians above 65 is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia?
I will be walking in the 2010 Manulife Walk for Memories on Saturday, January 30 in honour of my father Curtis Reid (Bubba) and all of those living with Alzheimer’s disease.
It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but I want to make a difference in the lives of all those who have been touched by this disease. Will you sponsor me?
If you cannot make a donation at this time, or would like others to support alongside you, please forward this to your friends and family and ask them to make a pledge too. Just think, 1 in 13 Canadians above 65 is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia – I am not alone in this struggle.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP!
Volunteers are needed to find prizes and items for goodie bags, brochure distribution and various tasks in the office. Lots of these positions are good for high school students. 200 volunteers are also required day of, for set up and tear down of the event, registration, marshalling and tallying up the monies at our offices after the event.
