but they don’t get into how freelancers, or for that matter other businesses find the new customers and work which is something I’m often asked to train people on. My workshop SOCIAL MEDIA 101 shows people how to use popular social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn to grow their businesses in 1/2 hour a day or less by meeting/building relationships with key people they need to succeed. I teach people how to turn their time into money with individual coaching as well and would be happy to help you.

Hearts of Durham is a volunteer group made up of our core team of nine women and numerous other volunteers who are helping to make the community of Durham a better place in which to live, work and play. WOW – I cannot believe this has gone through so easily and with so little uproar from society who is already dealing with a crippling recession. They say it makes it easier for businesses, but I just can’t see it. Besides the fact that many things we buy will cost more money, we’ll need to pay people to change adjust our bookkeeping system, documents, POS systems. Easy? I think not, at least from this business person’s perspective.
By using Twitter, I have found business partners, constantly get sent tons of free stuff (books, cd’s, food, etc.), made money, drove tons of traffic to my blog, been invited to private parties, met my idol, been on radio and TV shows and the list goes on and on. The only reason if you believe Twitter does not work, is if you don’t work. Plain and simple. You must have a reason to be on it in the first place or you will end up like a lost child in a theme park.
