Claim.io (formerly ClaimMyName) now injects your brand into 300 of the most popular social media and social networking sites, creating an account on each site, securing your name and/or vanity URL, and embedding your messaging, logo and links into each account.
Why Claim Your Name?
- Brand Protection - Claiming your name and other high value keywords on the most popular social networks prevents your brand from being hijacked and helps ensure that you own and control your presence online. Don’t wait until someone else claims your name and its too late.
- Brand Exposure - Claim.io goes beyond protecting your brand. We establish a rich presence on each social network that includes your brand’s messaging, logo and a link back to your primary website. You fill out one form and we take care of the rest.
- Search Engine Visibility - Increasing the number of inbound links (other sites that point to your website) is one of the most effective ways to increase your visibility on major search engines. When you claim you name across 300 social networks, each account that we create for you becomes a site that points back to your website.

In the company’s November whitepaper, which looks at the landscape of natural search, 360i purports that a majority of social media search listings that appear for brand-related queries are created by individuals not affiliated with the brand. In fact, “77% of YouTube(), Twitter() and Facebook() listings that appeared for brand searches were controlled by a party other than the marketer.”

Another great blog post by Bradley Will…
By using Twitter, I have found business partners, constantly get sent tons of free stuff (books, cd’s, food, etc.), made money, drove tons of traffic to my blog, been invited to private parties, met my idol, been on radio and TV shows and the list goes on and on. The only reason if you believe Twitter does not work, is if you don’t work. Plain and simple. You must have a reason to be on it in the first place or you will end up like a lost child in a theme park.

Microsoft and Twitter struck a search deal to integrate Twitter within Bing. Mere hours later, Google struck back with its own search deal with Twitter. Now there’s a new Twitter partnership launching between Twitter and LinkedIn, the popular business social network.

According to Mashable…
Bill is returning to the spotlight to promote “The Cosnarati”, a socially conscious hip-hop group he hopes will guide young people to do good with their lives. Bill’s social media tendrils have reached out across 12seconds(), Facebook(), Flickr(), Blog Talk Radio, MySpace() and Cinch among others, and he’ll be hosting a live stream on Ustream.tv on Monday October 19 (tomorrow) at 7pm ET. Find out more here… Bill Cosby Learns the Twitting, Tweeting, Twit and Tweetie [VIDEO].
I’ve got lots of great memories of Bill Cosby and love what he stands for, so decided to follow him on twitter (@billcosby) along with 550,413 people.

Just read cool post by Asavin Wattanajantra called… Social Media News, Insights and Tips…
Twitter can make a great business tool – if you know how to use it. Many of the third-party Twitter applications transform the way it can be used, and some of these are “especially useful if you are working for a business!”
I really like hootsuite, and have mentioned that here in this blog many times. Many use tweetdeck. What twitter tools do you use?

Your tweets, as ephemeral as they may be, may have some actual long-term value.
If you need to reference one of your better whimsical musings or find something of real value (like a phone number in a direct message), good luck trying to track them down using Twitter Search after more than a few days: they will be gone.
You have a few options for finding those tweets again, but the newly launched TweetSaver offers you an almost fail-proof system for backing up your tweets. The subscription based service synchronizes with your Twitter account to provide you with a searchable database of your Twitter history and tagging options so that you can quickly find your best Twitter gems again.
