The term Cyber Monday refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday, the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season in the United States between Thanksgiving and Christmas. [1] Whereas Black Friday is associated with traditional brick-and-mortar stores, “Cyber Monday” symbolizes a busy day for online retailers. The premise was that consumers would return to their offices after the Black Friday weekend, making purchases online that they were not able to make in stores. Although that idea has not survived the test of time, Cyber Monday has evolved into a significant marketing event, sponsored by the National Retail Federation’s Shop.org division, in which online retailers offer low prices and promotions.

Business card scanners are a must have for any networker, especially those who regularly hold draws or do tradeshows!

They are easy to use… simply slip the cards you collect in the tray, then check/correct any inconsistencies – mine’s very consistent.

The business card scanner I bought, CardScan, comes with software that automatically backs up my contact database, and it makes it far easier to edit entries in many views.

I waited a long time to buy my first cardscan only to realize that it paid for itself because it’s faster and easier to leverage your database if it’s bigger and of course digital.

There are many other types of business card scanners out there, and I’d love to know which one you’re using and what you like/dislike about yours…?
