On Friday, March 6, 2009 I attended Let’s Do Lunch at Cullen Gardens. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and meet a few wonderful people too. The speeches were all geared on how to keep your business healthy and were very inspirational, funny and of course, the lunch was devine.

Let’s Do Lunch is a great organization that and raises monies for a different charity each lunch – this time it was Lakeridge Health. Does anyone know how much was raised this time?

Power of Women Enterprises (POWE) is a 300-ish strong network of business women, dedicated to providing the tools to help women to achieve the success that they desire, so it’s no surprise, with the recent onslaught of ning websites that they launched a free social networking website for their members and prospects. Scugog Women’s Networking Breakfast meetings are held year round on the last Friday of each month, with the exception of December at The Masonic Lodge, 320 Queen Street, Port Perry. Doors open at 8am. Meeting runs 8:30am-10am. Cost is $10/month and includes breakfast. Guests are welcome to attend two meetings before joining SWNB. Yearly membership (Sept-Sept) is $30 (due annually by September meeting).
