googleAccording to Threatpost, Google software engineer Ryan Sleevi announced that “Google is making Certificate Transparency mandatory for its Chrome web browser by October 2017.”

What does this mean to you?
This means that Google — the most popular website browser on the market today — could block your website from search results if you do not have a trusted SSL security certificate in place by October, 2017 so it’s highly recommended that you:

  1. Head over to my white-label shop — YoDaddy.ca — and purchase a security certificate for each of the websites you host. If you have any problems, there is a number on that website you can phone for support.
  2. Share the purchase information with your webmaster who can install it on your website and adjust your website accordingly.
