For many years I worked with Sue Sutcliffe as a director of the board at DHSBA. I found her enthusiasm, professionalism and work ethics were a great asset to the DHSBA. Under her presidency the DHSBA grew to the point we had to find a larger venue as we were experiencing 80 to 100 members at a meeting. Sue knew how to reach out to even the newest business. Sponsorship was high and the speakers were extraordinary. All because she inspired us all to be the best we could be. I highly recommend Sue Sutcliffe and her team because of their caring, work ethics, fabulous ideas and knowledge for any position or project.

I heard about Sue long before we met and since meeting her a few years ago, I witnessed all of the fabulous things I heard. Sue's company helped me out with my business website and social media strategy. That was so helpful but what impressed me even more is Sue's commitment to the community through the social responsibility of her company. Her giving program... (perhaps it's more of a movement than just a program) has provided the not for profit sector the same tools that she provides to business but at cost. Even more impressive is her new sharing program so if a business purchases a workshop one will be given to a charity or not for profit free! Thanks to Sue for all she does and providing a much needed service!

My time at World Event Center taught me many important lessons about event planning, coordination, time management and even marketing. This experience gave me the event planning knowledge and the technical expertise to thrive in the up and coming Hybrid event landscape. Sue was a constant source of knowledge and advice and was always helping me to grow, providing answers to all my questions or connecting me with experts in that field. This internship prepared me for the future and I now feel confident going out into the event planning world.

I am absolutely grateful that Sue invited me to be an intern at World Event Center. She’s been more than just a coordinator, she was my Mentor throughout the whole internship. She taught us how to organize and lead virtual events, she inspired us to learn and practice and never be afraid of mistakes. She showed us what the real leadership looks like and what it means to be a part of a team. Pandemic=NO EVENTS? NO FUN? Think again! World Event Center is here to fix that! I spent three amazing months at the World Event Center and the experience was awe-inspiring. My life has been totally transformed; I would have never imagined that I would fall in love with virtual events! Not only was I able to become acclimated to online events but I was also given the opportunity to network with industry personnels, attend and plan interesting events and so much more. Oh! Did I mention that Sue is an incredible leader with an exceptional personality which adds the icing on top of the cake! My experience at the World Events Centre was more than I ever imagined it would be and you should want to be there!

I learned so much from Sue that I can confidently say that I know all that pertains to event planning. Sue has this unmatchable great personality due to her genuine kindness while teaching us, backed by her patience during the internship program; this made me learn so much. During the internship program, Mrs. Sue teaches us through motivation various ways to communicate with the clients, which helps us plan an event to its best in order to fit the clients' satisfaction. Apart from teaching us planning and communication skills, she also taught us the best business language to use while at work; this was topped up by her understanding nature towards us during the learning period. Her top-notch leadership skills are also portrayed by how she cultivates the skills of maintaining one calm when one encounters arrogant people during an event, especially during this pandemic period. There are very many reasons why I can never forget Mrs. Sue, but how much she has taught me, which has helped me grow so much, stands out as a unique trait that makes me remember her. I am pleased to have started working with her, which has also built my future career. Thank you, Sue, for helping me grow.

I had a great opportunity to work with Sue and World Event Center as an intern during my Work Integrated Learning program. She was wonderful to work with, and had exceptional expertise in leading, coaching, and motivation. She also was an intelligent leader who had lots of knowledge in her field, especially marketing and branding. She knew that I was living alone as an international student, right the moment she asked me if I needed someone to talk to during the pandemic when I felt depressed, it made me feel like home. I really appreciated the time I had with Sue and other interns.
