Here’s how to set up your branded email via Gmail
- Click the gear in the top right.
- Select Settings.
- Click the Accounts and Import tab.
- Under Check mail from other accounts (using POP3) as, click Add a POP3 mail account you own.
- In the ‘Email address’ field, enter your email address
- Click ‘Next Step’.
- Enter the details from your access sheet and/or our email set-up directions into each of the fields. We also recommend checking ‘Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server.’ So you’ll have a back-up in your webmail folder. You may also wish to ‘Label Incoming Messages’ to ensure you can tell which emails came through this account.
- Click Next Step >>
- Choose ‘Yes, I want to be able to send mail as name@domain.com’
- Click Next Step >>
- Enter the Name you wish people to see when they get your messages. Leave ‘Treat as an alias’ checked.
- Click Next Step >>
- Enter the SMTP Server, Username and Password from your access sheet and/or from our email set-up directions, and ensure ‘Secured connection using TLS (recommended)’ is selected.
- Click Add Account >>
- CONGRATULATIONS! Gmail will now import your mail automatically. Please note that they determine the interval that email is checked, so you may not receive new emails for an to an hour, depending on how often you receive mail. By default, any messages sent to your @domain.com account will be replied to from the same, and any messages sent to @gmail.com will get replies from that account.
