LOL… sounds like they are getting an overwhelming response… website says "The National Do Not Call List (DNCL)Web site is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
Many of you have heard about the National Do Not Call List but how many of you know how it works and how many of you have actually put your numbers up on the list?
Perhaps this will spur you to do it now.
All cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies THIS MONTH and you will start to receive sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS.
To prevent this, you can either enter all of your telephone numbers online or call the number below from each of your cell phone and land lines. I recommend using the on-line process- it only takes a minute or two. I entered two landlines and my cell phone number in under 5 minutes.
Here is the website: http://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca.
Here are the phone numbers you can call: 1 866-580-3625 or 888-382-1222.
This will block your numbers for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.
Asked RBC to put me on the do no call list. They said it would take 30 days?????
