This affirmation was inspired by Michael Hyatt’s blog post 3 Reasons You Shouldn’t Be Bashful About Selling Your Own Products which explains we should feel free to sell with our whole heart.

“Selling, when it is done well, is a noble pursuit. It requires that we take the initiative to find out what others need and then deliver a product that helps alleviate a need.”
His blog post really really resonated with me, and I know I’m not alone. So many entrepreneurs seem to struggle with this and I tell them, it’s not your fault. It’s your parent’s fault. I tell them the reason they have trouble selling themselves is because we were all raised, not to brag, and not to boast, and after all, isn’t that what marketing is all about?
Although I’ve been told I’m a natural born sales person, and been successful in sales for over twenty years, when what I was selling became me, rather than my team I struggled big time. Have you ever strugged with selling yourself?
