The US Department of Justice has won its antitrust case against Google, which accused the company of operating a monopoly in the advertising technology industry ruling Google “willfully engaged in anticompetitive acts” for over a decade, and monopolized three distinct markets:

  • publisher ad tools
  • advertiser ad networks, and
  • ad exchanges

This is the second antitrust case Google has lost in a year, after it was ruled the company also had a monopoly on online search.
