STEP ONE:
Calculate monthly sales quota

  1. How much do you want to make per year?
    I want to make $100,000/year
  2. What is your average sale?
    My average sale is $1,000
  3. How many sales you need to make per year?
    100,000 divided by 1,000 = 100 sales/year
  4. How many months do you wish to work per year?
    I want to work only 10 months/year
  5. How many sales you need to make per month?
    100 divided by 10 = 10 sales/month

You need to make 10 sales to reach your sales quota.

STEP TWO:
Factor in the Sales Process

  1. PITCHES
If 1 in 3 pitches get you a sale
    10 x 3 = 30 pitches required
  2. LEADS
If 1 of 3 leads are worth pitching
    30 x 3 = 90 leads required
  3. SUSPECTS
If 1 of 3 suspects qualify as leads
    90 x 3 = 270 suspects required
  4. EXPOSURES
People need to see you 7 times before you exist
    270 x 7 = 1890 exposures required
