I held Mom’s hand throughout her end of life and when she completed her last breath, I knew, without doubt, that a squeeze of her hand would not bring her back this time, although I did it anyway. Instead of a breath she smiled, and I knew she made it to Heaven and saw Dad, when her lip turned up as if to smile (and hadn’t done that for over two weeks!

Judith (Judy) Carol MacKinnon (nee Burgess) peacefully passed away on June 3, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Walter (Wally) MacKinnon for 35 years.
